HARRISON, N.J. -- The United States women's national team played Korea Republic to a 0-0 draw in its final warm-up game prior to the FIFA Women's World Cup, before a capacity crowd of 26,467 at Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

The Americans were shutout for the third time this year, but extended their unbeaten streak to nine consecutive games (7W-2D-0L).

Forward Sydney Leroux and midfielder Carli Lloyd were among the USA’s most dangerous players on the pitch.

Six minutes into the match, Leroux set-up Christen Press for the host’s first chance, only for the 26-year-old to send her shot wide left.  Lloyd had the next two opportunities, firing both wide right in the 26th and 27th minutes.

Leroux tried to get the U.S. on the scoreboard as her sliding shot sailed wide left in the 40th minute.

The Koreans did not get a shot on goal in the opening half and saw midfielder Park Heeyoung be forced out of the match with an apparent shoulder injury in the 17th minute.

Although the USA picked up where it left off after break, it could not solve the Korean defense. Leroux had an attempt from 12 yards swatted away by goalkeeper Kim Jungmi with her right hand in the 50th minute.

It was more of the same in the 53rd minute as unmarked Ali Krieger booted a 16-yard shot wide left.

A minute later, goalkeeper Hope Solo finally was called into action, tipping a long, looping shot from over the bar.

Then, in the third minute of stoppage time, she maintained the result by diving to save a left-sided effort from 24-yards out Lee Geum Min.

The Americans will meet Australia in its Women’s World Cup June 8 in Winnipeg, before facing other Group D opponents Sweden (June 12 in Winnipeg) and Nigeria (June 16 in Vancouver).
