YONGCHUAN, China – The Mexico women’s national team will kick-off its participation in the Yongchuan Cup on Tuesday against Korea DPR at the Yongchuan Sports Center.

Head coach Leonatdo Cuellar is taking 20 players to China, including five – goalkeeper Cecilia Santiago; defender Paulina Solis; and midfielders Karla Nieto, Nancy Antonio and Jazmin Aguas – who helped Mexico to a second-place finish at the recently completed 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Under-Championship.

The Tricolor is using the four-nation invitational tournament as preparation for Women’s World Cup Qualifying and the Central American and Caribbean Games, both of which take place later this year.

Mexico will also play China (February 13) and New Zealand (February 15).
