PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago — The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continued with Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica drawing 1-1 in Group B on Thursday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
After a goalless first half, Renaldo Cephas broke the deadlock to hand Jamaica the lead in the 53’, capping off a fast break down the left flank by cutting in and slotting the ball into the bottom right corner. Rumarn Burrell registered the assist on the play.
Kevin Molino equalized for the hosts in the 85’ with a right-footed finish from close range.
With the draw, Jamaica drops to second place in the group with 10 points and a 3-1-1 record but keeps its hopes alive of sealing the direct qualification. The Reggae Boyz will host Curaçao on Tuesday.
Trinidad and Tobago is eliminated from contention for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the draw. The Soca Warriors will visit Bermuda to conclude its campaign.
