DEVONSHIRE, Bermuda – The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continued with Trinidad and Tobago defeating Bermuda, 3-nil, in Group B on Friday at Bermuda National Stadium in Devonshire, Bermuda.
Nahki Wells had a good look in the 8’ in search of the opener for Bermuda, but his attempt from inside the box was saved by Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Denzil Smith.
Dante Sealy scored the go-ahead goal for Trinidad and Tobago in the 10’, striking from close range following an assist from Levi García.
Tyrese Spicer doubled the lead for the Soca Warriors in the 30’. The attacker applied pressure and recovered possession in the final third, before breaking into the box, dribbling past the goalkeeper, and tucking the ball away at the right post.
Kobi Henry further extended the lead for the visitors in the 49’ with a header to capitalize on a rebound, following an initial attempt from a free kick by Sealy.
Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Denzil Smith delivered a solid performance in goal, recording four saves as he posted a second clean sheet in the Final Round.
With the result, Trinidad and Tobago improves to four points and is third in Group B, while Bermuda is fourth with zero points.
Both teams will carry on with their World Cup Qualifying efforts on Tuesday, when Trinidad and Tobago visits Curaçao, and Bermuda visits Jamaica.
