MANAGUA, Nicaragua — The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continued with Haiti earning a 3-nil win over Nicaragua in Group C on Thursday at Estadio Nacional de Fútbol in Managua, Nicaragua.
Duckens Nazon found the opener in the 12’ for Haiti, capitalizing on a loose ball inside the box and tucking the ball away from close range. The goal marked Nazon’s sixth to become the leading scorer in the campaign.
Danley Jean Jacques headed home a corner in the 35’ to double the lead for the visitors. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde provided the assist.
Louicius Deedson rounded out the victory for Les Grenadiers in the 90’+2’, striking a left-footed shot from inside the box following a precise delivery from Duke Lacroix to the back post.
Haiti goalkeeper Johny Placide delivered a solid performance, posting three saves and recording a clean sheet.
The result sees Haiti climb to first place in Group C with five points, while Nicaragua is fourth with one point.
Both teams will carry on with their World Cup Qualifying efforts on Monday, when Haiti visits Honduras, and Nicaragua visits Costa Rica.
