MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship delivered great moments as Canada claimed its third title in the tournament’s history.

Here is a look at the best moments from the top performances of the 2025 tournament: 

Montserrat Saldívar scored the 200th goal for Mexico in the tournament

Mexican forward Montserrat Saldívar received Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, and Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, after leading the tournament with eight goals.

Saldívar also made history by scoring Mexico's 200th goal in the tournament as part of the 4-nil win over Panama in the Group Stage.

 

 

Annabelle Chukwu delivered championship-winning goal for Canada

Annabelle Chukwu became the first player to score in extra time of both a Final and a Third Place Match, doing so at the 2025 and 2023 editions respectively, with her match-winning goal in the Final. 

Chukwu added five goals to her all-time tally, moving up to third place among Canadian scorers in the tournament’s history.

Sheika Scott’s stellar performance for Costa Rica

 Sheika Scott left her mark in the 2025 edition with five goals in one match. Scott wrote her name in the history books as only the second player to accomplish this feat.

The handful of goals came in the 9-nil win over Guyana in the Group Stage. Scott reached 12 career goals with Las Ticas and is the owner of the record for most penalties scored in the tournament with five.

Bianchin and Paniagua set new milestones

Canadian Adriana Bianchin became the youngest player to score in a Final of the Women’s U-20 Championship at 17 years, 10 months and 29 days old.

Lucía Paniagua of Costa Rica became the youngest player to record an assist in the tournament at 15 years, 6 months, and 5 days, doing so in the 9-nil victory over Guyana in the Group Stage.

Ashley McMahon continues being a force for Puerto Rico

Ashley McMahon continued her scoring tally going for Las Boricuas, netting two goals in the 7-nil victory over Guyana, to leave her mark in the U-20 category as she did in the U-17, and senior level for Puerto Rico.
