MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship continued Tuesday as the United States and Puerto Rico earned victories in Group A at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Costa Rica sealed its place among the top two in their group, clinching a berth in the Semifinals and participation in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Puerto Rico 7, Guyana 0 

Puerto Rico concluded its campaign with a 7-nil victory against Guyana.

Ashley McMahon opened the scoring in the 5’ with a right-footed strike from outside the box to place Las Boricuas in front. Estefanía González doubled the lead in the 9’ with a header off a corner kick. Susana Roberts added a third for Puerto Rico in the 34’ to obtain a three-goal lead at the half. 

Gabriella Garnett continued the scoring in the second half a fourth Puerto Rico goal in the 59’. Garnett collected her brace in the 69’ with another shot from outside the box.

McMahon struck with her right foot in the 85’ to earn her brace followed by Roberts in the 90'+3', who also scored a double. 

United States 4, Costa Rica 0

The U.S. secured the top spot in the group with a 4-nil win against Costa Rica.

Linda Ullmark placed the U.S. in front in the 22’ with a right-footed shot in the box. Mary Long extended the lead in the 60’ to collect her third goal of the campaign. 

Grace Restovich furthered the U.S. advantage in the 65’ before Kennedy Fuller put a bow on the victory in the 87’. 

Based on the days results, Costa Rica clinched the final spot in the Semifinals and secured a berth as one of the four Concacaf representatives at the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup.
