MIAMI – The FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025 continued on Thursday, as the United States of America earned a 3-nil victory against France in Group E at Estadio El Teniente in Rancagua, Chile.

Entering the match as the first-place team in its group, the USA defended its lead and improved to 2-0-0 to secure a place in the Knockout Round.

Both sides played conservative for the majority of the encounter and increased their offensive attempts in the closing stretch.

U.S. goalkeeper Adam Beaudry delivered an important save in the 71’ to deny Lucas Michal.

Zavier Gozo broke the deadlock in the 85’ to place the U.S. in front, striking with a header inside the six-yard box to meet a service from Luke Brennan.

Brooklyn Raines extended the lead in the 88’ with a right-footed finish in the box, as Gozo provided the through pass for the assist.

Marcos Zambrano added a third for the U.S. in the 90’+2’, pouncing on a rebound inside the box after Gozo was denied his brace by the crossbar.

The United States will conclude its Group Stage against South Africa on Sunday.
