MIAMI – The FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025 continued on Tuesday, with Concacaf nation Mexico winning 4-1 against hosts Chile in the Round of 16 at Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander in Valparaíso, Chile.
Tahiel Jiménez opened the scoring in the 26’ with a left-footed finish from the edge of the box. Gilberto Mora delivered the assist with a delicate right-footed touch to redirect a cross from the right flank by Alexéi Domínguez.
Iker Fimbres struck from long range in the 67’ to double Mexico’s lead.
Hugo Camberos secured the victory with a brace in the closing stretch, scoring in the 80’ and 86’.

Juan Rossel cut the deficit for Chile in the 88’ as the hosts bowed out of the competition.
With the victory, Mexico advances to the Quarterfinals on Saturday. El Tricolor will face the winner of Wednesday’s bout between Argentina and Nigeria.
