MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers continues with the second set of matches in Groups D, E, and F on Thursday.
Group D
Anguilla vs. Haiti
Group D action carries on with a meeting between Anguilla and Haiti at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
It will be the second time the two meet in the tournament. Haiti claimed an 8-nil win in their only previous encounter.
Anguilla will play its second match in search of its first points after falling against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Haiti will open its qualifying campaign for what will be its 12th appearance in the competition. Les Grenadiers best results saw the team finish in fifth place in the 2003 and 2007 editions.
Curaçao vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
The second Group D match of the day presents a battle for first place between hosts Curaçao and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The occasion marks the third time they meet in the Qualifiers. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has earned a win, while the other match resulted in a draw.
Curaçao will aim for a second win after defeating Guyana 3-2. A brace from Damiënthly Bernardina, and a goal from Dayvi Busby led the team to victory in its tournament opener. The win was Curaçao’s first in the past five matches in the preliminary phase against Guyana.
The Vincy Heat will look to defend its group lead with another three points after a 6-nil win over Anguilla. Two goals from Tyrique Clarke, and strikes from Deshad Simmons, Shaquan Hooper, Zibeon Cunningham and Tyler Lewis secured the result. The nation achieved its second largest margin of victory in the history of the Qualifiers, only behind its 23-1 win against the British Virgin Islands in 2008. Additionally, Clarke became the third SVG player to record a brace in the competition since 2008.
Group E
Trinidad and Tobago vs. Barbados
Trinidad and Tobago meet Barbados in Group E at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field # 2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The encounter will be their fourth in the history of the Qualifiers, with Trinidad and Tobago claiming wins in the first three matchups.
Trinidad and Tobago enter the match after its 2-2 draw against Bermuda. Dominic Joseph and an own goal secured the point for the Soca Warriors.
Similarly, Barbados also played out a stalemate in its opening fixture. Xavier Bayne was the scorer for the Tridents in the 1-1 draw against Sint Maarten.
Sint Maarten vs. Costa Rica
Sint Maarten face hosts Costa Rica in Group E at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field # 2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica, in what will be their first meeting in U-20 Qualifiers.
Sint Maarten will look to build on its 1-1 draw against Barbados. Tim van Ottele was the team’s scorer in the match. The result marked Sint Maarten’s first draw in the history of the Qualifiers, with its overall record standing at one win, one draw and six losses.
Costa Rica will kick off its 25th appearance in the competition in search of booking a ticket for the FIFA U-20 World Cup for a 10th time overall, and first since the 2017 edition. Los Ticos secured a fourth-place finish in the 2009 edition of the global competition in Egypt.
Group F
U.S. Virgin Islands vs. Canada
The U.S. Virgin Islands play Canada in Group F at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua.
This will be the first time these teams face each other in the U-20 Qualifiers.
The U.S.V.I will look to bounce back after its 7-1 loss to Martinique in its first match of the tournament. Connor Bass scored the team’s goal.
Nicaragua vs. Martinique
Group F hosts Nicaragua take on Martinique at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua. The two meet for the first time in tournament history.
Nicaragua enters the match in search of its first points after a 2-nil loss against Aruba.
Martinique will aim to solidify its group lead after a notable 7-1 win over the U.S.V.I. A pair of braces from Malick Hatchi-Filomin and Noah Delem, as well as goals from Naihly Theramene, Lucas Boulange and Saiane Gonzalve led Martinique to victory.
The triumph marked Martinique’s largest victory in Qualifiers history, surpassing its 5-nil win over Saint Lucia in 1994.
