Action from the UNCAF under-20 qualifier between Costa Rica (white jersey) and Belize on July 27, 2014, at the Estadio Las Delicias in Santa Tecla, El Salvador

Leonardo Pipino – Head Coach, Panama

We had a good tournament.  El Salvador was a better team than us.  Now, we rest for a few days, waiting to see what the Federation says about the future.

The difference was in the first 20 minutes.  We did not feel comfortable on the field because El Salvador placed many midfielders in this sector, which complicated things for us.

In the second half, it appeared that things were equal for each team.  I believe that we played more in El Salvador’s end than they in ours, but I can only congratulate El Salvador on playing a great game.

Mauricio Alfaro – Head Coach, El Salvador

The target was achieved as planned, progressing to World Cup qualifying in Jamaica.  Panama is a very good team.  This qualification is a product of their (the players) efforts.

We had a good game.  We handled the encounter during many stretches in much the same way.  We missed a penalty kick.  In general terms, we were more dangerous than them (Panama).

We want to close with a victory in the last game against Costa Rica because we wish to finish in second place and then plan on the five months ahead for the work needed for the World Cup qualifiers in Jamaica.

Mauro Portillo – Forward, Guatemala

Nicaragua played very tidily, closed spaces and made getting the first goal complicated.

The characteristic of this selection is that we always fight.  We never give up.  It is a very united group.

We continue in qualifying and we are going for it against Belize.

Enrique Llena – Head Coach, Nicaragua

Those goals fell on us like a pitcher of cold water.  We were poor.  It has not been our championship.  We had to complete this group with six players from our under-17 team.  Nevertheless, the youngsters gave everything in each game.

Although the final score says 4-0, it does not reflect what happened on the field of play, but we must accept it.

The team has been growing.
