BRADENTON, Florida – The 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship was back in action on Friday with the first matches in Group D, in which Martinique, Panama and Canada all emerged as clean sheet winners.

It was a hotly contested battle between Martinique and Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the two teams look destined to play to a scoreless draw.

But a late breakaway saw Martinique’s Henriol Bryan round the Saints Kitts and Nevis GK and fire into an open net in the 87’ for the 1-0 victory.

Panama took care of business in posting a 4-0 win over Guadeloupe, led by a brace from Saed Diaz (38’, 88’), plus scores from Maikell Diaz (55’) and Angel Orelien (90’).

Canada also got off to a good start in the group with a 4-0 win as well against Dominica.

Noble Okello struck twice in seven minutes (24’, 31’) before Jose Hernandez and Theo Bair added goals in the 81’ and 83, respectively to earn the Canadians the three points.
