MIAMI – Round One of 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with the second set of matches in Groups A, B and F on Monday.

The Dominican Republic, Panama, and El Salvador all ended the matchday in first place in their respective groups thanks to their victories. Nicaragua and Bermuda also gained three points to keep pace for a first place finish.

Group A 

U.S. Virgin Islands 0-11 Dominican Republic 

The Dominican Republic continued its convincing start with an 11-nil win over the U.S. Virgin Islands in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua. 

The Dominican Republic took an 8-nil lead in the first half. Giocarla Durán netted five times (9’, 18’, 20’, 27’, 29’), Jazmyn Díaz converted a penalty in the 17’, and Emelie Asenjo scored from inside the box in the 45’. An own goal from the U.S.V.I. in the 43’ also added to the scoreline.

A right-footed finish to the center of the goal from inside the box from Deliah Antonini in the 49’ and a brace from Gia Fernández (69’, 73’), rounded out the victory for Las Quisqueyanas.

Dominica 0-9 Nicaragua 

Hosts Nicaragua extended its positive start in Group A with a 9-nil victory against Dominica at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.

Stefany Miranda placed Nicaragua in the lead in the 10’, tapping in the ball from close range to open the scoring. 

Marian Ruiz extended Nicaragua’s lead in the 12’, with a right-footed finish following a delivery into the box from Miranda. 

Ruiz secured her brace in the 16’ with a left-footed thunderbolt from inside the box, followed by Miranda adding her second of the evening in the 23’. 

Mariela Zavala further extended the lead for the hosts in the 51’ with a right-footed shot to the bottom-right corner, with Miranda picking up her third assist of the match in the play.

Nicaragua answered with three goals in a span of six minutes. Goalkeeper Kaylin Huete scored a penalty in the 60’, Zavala concluded a fast break with a tidy finish inside the box in the 63’, and Miranda sealed her hat-trick with a goal from the penalty spot in the 66’.

Margarita Collado scored the final goal of the evening in the 90’, with a rocket from long-range.

Group B 

Suriname 0-8 Panama

Panama defended its lead atop Group B with an 8-nil victory against Suriname at Bermuda National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.  

Las Canaleras opened the scoring in the 25’ through Gabriela Rodríguez, who took advantage of a loose ball inside the box and netted with a first-hit attempt.

Cristabella Ríos extended the lead for Panama with a brace, striking with a header to the top-right corner in the 29’, and with a shot from the center of the box in the 34’ to capitalize on an assist from Rodríguez off a corner. 

Alisson Samudio added another to the advantage in the 35’ with a finish to the bottom-left corner on an assist from Gabriela Chen.  

Shaday Mow followed up with a second-half brace to further extend Panama’s lead. First, she converted from the penalty spot in the 60’, before slotting the ball at the bottom-left corner from the center of the box in the 67’. 

Alexa Ortega successfully converted another penalty in the 79’, and Vera Batista scored a fantastic free kick in the 85’, to round out the result for Panama. 

Bonaire 1-7 Bermuda 

Group B hosts Bermuda picked up a second win by defeating Bonaire 7-1 at Bermuda National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.  

Bermuda took the lead with five first-half goals, led by a brace from Daley Outerbridge (7’, 29’). The other goals came from Milan Gibbons-Thomas in the 18’, Nila Samuels with a header in the 31’, and Evans Welch with a banger from outside the box in the 37’. 

In the second half, Outerbridge secured her hat trick in the 46’. Gibbons-Thomas grabbed another in the 59’ to further extend Bermuda’s advantage. 

Shaimarís Mercera converted from the penalty spot in the 75’ to shorten the deficit for Bonaire. 

Group F

Barbados 0-6 El Salvador 

El Salvador kicked off its campaign with a 6-nil win over Barbados in Group F at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao. 

El Salvador was off to a quick start after Kylie Guardado scored the go-ahead goal in the 1’.

Shirley Rivera doubled the lead for Las Cuscatlecas in the 13’, with a right-footed finish to the bottom-left corner. Kaylen Alvarez further added to the advantage in the 41’ following a corner kick.

Melanie Menjivar successfully converted a penalty for El Salvador in the 56’. La Selecta rounded out its triumph with two goals in quick succession as Ariana Jones struck from the center of the box in the 70’, followed by Guardado scoring her second of the match in the 71’.
