MIAMI – Round One of 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with the second set of matches in Groups A, B, and F on Wednesday. 

Panama became the first team to secure its place in the Final Round by securing a first-place finish in Group B. Nicaragua took the lead in Group A, while Trinidad and Tobago earned its first win of the tournament to jump into the top spot in Group F. 

Group A 

Dominica 0-3 Belize 

Belize won 3-nil against Dominica in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.

Kiana Lewis opened the scoring from close range in the 24’ for Belize’s first goal in the tournament. 

Lewis secured her brace to double Belize’s lead in the 30’, capitalizing on a defense-splitting ball from Sophia Ellis with a right-footed finish inside the box. 

Jolene Aranda rounded out the result for Belize in the 79’, tipping the ball past the goalkeeper before finishing on an open goal.

Nicaragua 12-0 U.S. Virgin Islands

Group A hosts Nicaragua secured a third straight victory to jump into first place with a 12-nil win against the U.S. Virgin Islands at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua. 

Stefany Miranda broke the deadlock in the 5’ for Nicaragua to pull ahead, running into space to pick up a headed assist from Sara Pavón. 

Nicaragua struck four times in a span of six minutes to extend its lead to 5-nil. Helena Lau scored from close range in the 26’, Maxie Teofilo from the center of the box in the 28’, Miranda from long range in the 30’, and Mariela Zavala from inside the box in the 32’. 

Nicaragua’s attack continued firing with three more first-half goals. Miranda scored her third of the match in the 38’, Teofilo secured her brace with a powerful hit to the top-right corner in the 40’, and Kaylin Huete converted from the penalty spot in the 45’+2’. 

La Azul y Blanco rounded out its triumph with four second-half goals. Miranda added two more in the 52’ and 76’ to cap off a spectacular five-goal performance, while Anahí Vivas was on target in the 69’, and Mitzy Canales in the 77’. 

Group B

Suriname 3-0 Bonaire 

Suriname bowed out of the tournament with a 3-nil win over Bonaire in Group B at Bermuda National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.

Renessa Sajat scored a long-range screamer in the 14’ for Suriname to take the lead. 

Namisha Lamafoe doubled Suriname’s lead in the 68’, breaking into the box with an individual play before a right-footed hit to the far post.

Sajat added a third for Suriname in the 83’ by securing her brace with a finish from outside the box.

Panama 2-2 Bermuda  

Panama and Bermuda played out an exciting 2-2 draw at Bermuda National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.

Shaday Mow converted from the penalty spot in the 8’ for Panama to pull ahead.

Daley Outerbridge equalized for the hosts in the 17’, taking advantage of a precise pass into space from Avery Taylor. 

Suriname turned the scoring around in the 47’ with a shot from Priya Dill.

Panama tied the match in the 83’, with Cristabella Ríos striking from close range following a delivery from Gabriela Rodríguez on a set piece opportunity.

With the result, Panama secured the Group B lead and advanced to the Final Round of the Qualifiers.

Group F 

Trinidad and Tobago 8-2 Barbados 

Trinidad and Tobago earned its first victory of the tournament in an 8-2 win over Barbados in Group F at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao. 

Sanni Wilson tucked the ball away from close range in the 10’ for Trinidad and Tobago to take command of the scoreline.

Gabrielle Birmingham equalized for Barbados in the 12’ through a free kick to the top-right corner. 

Wilson scored her second of the match to restore Trinidad and Tobago’s lead in the 17’, with a right-footed finish to meet an assist from Jade Jones. 

Trinidad and Tobago’s attack then took over, with a header from close range from Shiyah Matthews in the 34’, a rocket from long-range from Rori Gittens in the 40’, and a finish from outside the box from Torie Jean-Jacques in the 45’+2’. 

The Soca Warriors further extended their advantage through a header from Chelsea John in the 51’, a finish from the center of the box from Jean-Jacques in the 55’, and a penalty converted by Jade Jones in the 72’. 

Barbados shortened the deficit with a penalty from Birmingham in the 63’.
