MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers concludes its final matchday with Mexico taking on Costa Rica in Group C on Sunday at the Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Both nations enter their final encounter with two victories and six points. Mexico coming off a 6-1 win against Panama, while Costa Rica earned a 1-nil victory over Jamaica.

The top of the group, and a berth to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026, is up for grabs for the winner. In the case of a draw, Mexico would hold on to first place on goal difference.

The team that finishes second may still qualify to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup if it finishes as the best runner-up across the three groups.

All-Time series 

Mexico and Costa Rica will face each other for the fifth time in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship, with all previous matches ending in victories for the young Mexican side.
