• 30 teams will participate in Round One of the tournament, competing for eight spots in the Final Round

Miami, FL - Concacaf has announced key details about Round One of the 2026 Concacaf Women's U-17 Qualifiers. The first phase of the tournament, which will serve as teams’ first step towards qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, will take place from January 24 to February 2, 2026, and will feature the participation of 30 Concacaf Member Associations.

The 2026 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers will be the second edition of the event to be played under the two-round format, following its introduction in 2025. For Round One, the 30 participating teams will be split into six groups. After the round-robin group stage play, the six group winners and the two best second-place finishers will advance to the Final Round, joining the four top-ranked teams in the region, which received a bye to the Final Round (listed in alphabetical order): Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States.

Round One matches will take place across venues in four different countries: Aruba, Bermuda, Curaçao, and Nicaragua.

The 30 Concacaf member associations that will participate are (in alphabetical order): Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba,  Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, US Virgin Islands.

The competition’s official draw is scheduled for Oct. 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. Fans can follow the event on Concacaf’s YouTube channel.

According to the Draw Producers of the competition, the participating teams will be divided into five pots based on their Concacaf Women’s U-17 Ranking as of April 2025. The highest-ranked teams will be placed in Pot 1, and the lowest-ranked teams will be placed in Pot 5.

The five pots for Round One are divided as follows:

  • Pot 1
    Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Panama, Honduras, and Dominican Republic.
  • Pot 2
    Trinidad & Tobago, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Bermuda, Cuba, and Guatemala
  • Pot 3
    Guyana, Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, Curaçao, and Belize.
  • Pot 4
    US Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Barbados, Suriname, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and St. Lucia
  • Pot 5
    Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Aruba, British Virgin Islands, Bonaire, and Guadeloupe.

 

The top-ranked six teams will be drawn into positions A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, and F1.The same procedure will be followed by Pots 2, 3, 4, and 5, distributing the teams in positions 2, 3, 4, and 5 of each group, respectively.
 
The competition's complete match schedule will be announced after the official draw.

In the previous edition of the Concacaf Women's U-17 Qualifiers, played under the same format, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States topped their respective groups to secure qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025™ in Morocco.
