ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with Canada earning a 7-nil victory over the Dominican Republic in Group A on Thursday at the Costa Rica Football Federation Field #2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Gabriela Istocki found the opener for Canada in the 6’, capping off a fast break with a hit from outside the box.
Brooklyn Schwartzberg doubled the lead for The Reds in the 23’, slotting the ball at the bottom-left corner from outside the box.
Istocki secured her brace in the 26’ with a finish to the far post from the right end of the box.
Canada further extended its advantage with goals from two substitutes. First, Adalyn Fairweather struck with a right-footed finish from the center of the box in the 55’. Lacey Kindel found the back of the net from close range in the 64’. Racquel Partovi picked up the assist on both plays.
Partovi scored in the 81’, and Brooklyn Boldt in the 90’+1’ to round out the victory for the Canadians.
Group A play concludes on Sunday, March 22. Canada will face El Salvador, while the Dominican Republic meets Nicaragua.
