MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continues with El Salvador facing the Dominican Republic in Group A on Tuesday at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

This will be the first time these teams face each other in the Women’s U-17 Qualifiers.

El Salvador took three straight wins to top Group F in Round One. The Dominican Republic secured four wins to get to the top of Group A. Both finished the opening stage undefeated.

El Salvador and the Dominican Republic will face each other for the first time in any round of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship.

For El Salvador, this will be match number 10 against a Caribbean team in the history of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship, with a record of W-5 L-4. The last time El Salvador faced a Caribbean opponent was a 4-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago on April 2, 2025, at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago, in Group C, with goals from Abigaíl Loren Salgado, Maya Lucía Buerger, and Angie Valentina Alvarenga (2).

The Dominican Republic will face a Central American team for the first time in the history of the tournament, including both the preliminary stages and the final round.
