MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continues its final matchday with the Dominican Republic facing Nicaragua in Group A on Sunday at the Costa Rica Federation Field #2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Both nations enter the final matchday out of contention for one of the region’s spots in the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026.
The Dominican Republic enters its third and final match in search of its first win after playing out a draw and a loss.
Nicaragua aims to pick up its first points to close out its campaign on a positive note.

Dominican Republic and Nicaragua will face each other for the first time in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship. They previously met in the Caribbean and Central American Qualifiers on February 1, 2026, at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua, where the Dominican Republic earned a 2-1 victory. An own goal by Ashly Agramonte gave the Central Americans their score, while Giocarla Durán and Caelyn Jiménez scored for the Caribbean side.
It will be the first time the Dominican Republic shares a group with two Central American teams in the history of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship. Likewise, it will be the first time Nicaragua shares a group with two Caribbean teams.
