MIAMI – Round One of 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with the final set of matches in Groups A and F on Sunday.
The Dominican Republic claimed the top spot in Group A with a win. El Salvador topped Group F with a victory of its own. As group winners, both nations secured a place in the Final Round of the Qualifiers.
Group A
Belize 2-2 U.S. Virgin Island
Belize and the U.S. Virgin Islands played to a 2-2 stalemate at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Sophia Ellis placed Belize in the lead in the 57’, striking with a right-footed attempt from inside the box.
The U.S. Virgin Islands equalized in the 73’ through a finish from Reagan Marshall.
Belize reclaimed its lead in the 77’ as Ellis secured her brace with a hit from outside the box.
Kyla Groetzinger converted a penalty in the 81’ to tie and take a point for the U.S.V.I.
Dominican Republic 2-1 Nicaragua
The Dominican Republic claimed first place in Group A by defeating Nicaragua 2-1 at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Nicaragua pulled ahead in the 1’ through and own goal.
Giocarla Durán leveled the scoring in the 37’, burying the ball in the top-left corner from the center of the box.
Caelyn Jiménez sealed the comeback for Las Quisqueyanas in the 74’ to claim the victory and the ticket to the Final Round.
Group F
El Salvador 7-0 Trinidad and Tobago
El Salvador defeated Trinidad and Tobago to claim first place in Group F with a 7-nil win at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Angie Alvarenga scored the first of the night for El Salvador in the 28’, with a header to capitalize on a delivery from Cristina Quintanilla on a set piece.
Emma Torres extended the lead for La Selecta in the 45+1’, and Alvarenga did the same in the 45’+4’ with a right-footed thunderbolt from outside the box.
El Salvador rounded out the result with four second-half goals: Kaylen Alvarez in the 51’, Torres’ second in the 61’, and Kylie Guardado through a brace with strikes in the 58’ and 71’.
Curaçao 4-2 Barbados
Group F hosts Curaçao secured a 4-2 victory over Barbados at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Curaçao took the lead in the 11’ with a long-range effort from Elisa Huizing.
Gabrielle Birmingham equalized for Barbados in the 14’ with a strike from a free kick opportunity. She then took secured the lead for the Tridents with a successful penalty conversion in the 45’+3’.
Curaçao took the victory with three goals in the final minutes. Jairvienis Martina tied from close range in the 80’, while Destiny Koko completed the comeback with a header in the 89’ and a penalty in the 90’+4’.
