KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica under-17 national team head coach Andrew Edwards named a 25-man roster for friendlies against the visiting United States on November 2 and November 6 at the National Stadium East Field and Winchester Park, respectively.
The squad is highlighted by the inclusion of two forwards who earned Best XI honors at the finals of last month’s Caribbean qualifying tournament for the 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship – forwards Nicque Daley and Raewin Senior. Daley scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Curacao in the match for third place, while Senior added the other.
Jamaica will open a training camp Sunday at the Jamaica Football Federation Technical Centre at the University of the West Indies.
Both Jamaica and the U.S. are preparing for the next CONCACAF Under-17 Championship, which is scheduled to be played in Panama from April 21-May 7, 2017.
