Croatia took the lead through Kresimir Rados in the 35’. Raul Kumar doubled the advantage in the 55’ for the Europeans.
Thiago Cordero cut the deficit for Los Ticos in the 58’ in attempt to fuel a comeback.
Tino Kusanovic sealed the victory for Croatia in the 89’.
Costa Rica exits the tournament in the Group Stage for a sixth occasion. The Central American nation posted a 0-1-2 record, earning one point, to finish third in its group.
