The top two teams in each group, along with the eight best third-placed sides, will qualify for the Round of 32. From the Round of 32 onwards, the tournament will be played in a knockout format.
In knockout fixtures, if a game is level at the end of normal playing time, no extra time will be played, and a penalty shootout will determine the winner of the match.
Mexico is the only Concacaf nation to have previously won the tournament, in 2005 and 2011. El Salvador will make its debut in the tournament.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025 will take place in Qatar from November 3 to 27. All matches up until the final will be held across eight pitches at the Aspire Zone complex in Al Rayyan. The final will be played at Khalifa International Stadium, which is also on the Aspire Zone site.
