MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Boy´s Under-15 Championship continued on Sunday with two League A matches at the FCRF Federation Fields in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Two nations obtained their first three points of the campaign as Panama defeated El Salvador, and Mexico secured a win over Nicaragua.

Panama 4-2 El Salvador 

Panama earned a 4-2 win against El Salvador in Group A of League A.

Panama took the lead with two first-half goals, first through Jasio Jordan in the 12’ followed by Mauro Ortega in the 24’.

Captain Alfredo Maduro further extended the lead for Panama in the 48’ with his second goal of the tournament. 

The match presented three goals in a span of five minutes for the final 4-2 result. Franco Herrera scored in the 65’ and Jayson Ramírez in the 70’ as El Salvador cut the deficit.

Steven Moreno scored Panama’s fourth and final goal in the 67’.

El Salvador continue its campaign against Mexico on Tuesday. Panama will resume play on Wednesday against Nicaragua.

Nicaragua 0-9 Mexico 

Mexico began its campaign with a 9-nil win over Nicaragua in Group A of League A.

The North Americans took a four-goal lead in the first half with a brace from Matthew Arana in the 9’ and 22’, and goals from Da’vian Kimbrough in the 14’ and Dylan Reyes in the 16’.

Mexico rounded out the dominant victory with five goals from four different scorers: Gael Aguilar in the 41’, Patricio Silva in the 53’, Axel Sandoval in the 55’, and two goals from Juan Carlos Martínez Jr. in the 59’ and 70+2’. 

The two nations will retake the field on Tuesday when Nicaragua meets Honduras and Mexico takes on El Salvador.
