Grenada 2, St. Lucia 0

GOALS: Chelon Edeghill 14, Rickell Charles 55

Man of the Match:  Rickell Charles (Grenada)

Grenada (1-0-2, 3 points) scored a goal in each half to defeat St. Lucia, 2-0, for its first win of the competition.  Chelon Edeghill grabbed the first in the 14th minute, while Rickell Charles netted the second with five minutes left in regulation.  St. Lucia (0-0-4, 0 points) returns home without a point in its four outings.  Though Grenada has already been eliminated from contention, it has one game remaining against Belize on Tuesday.

Guatemala 1, Belize 0

GOALS: Francisco Cifuentes 33’

Man of the Match:  Francisco Cifuentes (Guatemala)

Guatemala (3-0-0, 9 points) took sole possession of first place in Group B with a narrow 1-0 win over Central Amercan rival Belize (2-0-1, 6 points).  Francisco Cifuentes scored in the 33rd minute for what proved to be the game-winning goal.   The Guatemalans need only a draw in their last group game against Jamaica on Tuesday to clinch a semifinal berth.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines 0, Haiti 2

GOALS:  Angelo Thelusme 49’, Thermidor Fils-Aime 58’

Man of the Match:  Thermidor Fils-Aime (Haiti)

Haiti (2-0-1, 6 points) thrust back into contention for a place in the semifinals with a 2-0 win St. Vincent & the Grenadines (0-0-3, 0 points).  Both strikes came in the second half as Angelo Thelusme (49’) and Thermidor Fils-Aime (58’) got their names on the scoresheet. After opening the competition with a 4-0 loss to Martinique, the Haitians have bounced back with two straight wins by a combined score of 7-1.  With two games remaining on its schedule, St. Vincent cannot advance.
