at George Town, Cayman Islands (The Annex)

Haiti 5, Antigua & Barbuda 1

GOALS:  Angelo Thelusme 18’; Peguy Joseph 19’; Johnson Jeudy 53’, 56’; Thermidor

Man of the Match:  Johnson Jeudy (Haiti)

Haiti (1-0-1, 3 points) rebounded from an opening loss to Martinique with a 5-1 victory over Antigua & Barbuda (1-0-2, 3 pts.).  Angelo Thelusme (18’) and Peguy Joseph (19’) netted within a minute of each other in the first half, effectively putting the game out of reach before the break.  Johnson Jeudy (53’, 56’) doubled the advantage with a second-half brace and Thermidor Fils-Aime completed the Grenadiers goal account in the 58th minute.  Javorn Stevens tallied for Antigua with five minutes left in regulation.  He has scored each of his team’s three goals in the competition.

 

at West Bay, Cayman Islands (Ed Bush Stadium)

El Salvador 1, Martinique 1

GOALS:  Kevin Martinez 30’ – Hedson Nattes 54’

Man of the Match:  Kevin Martinez (El Salvador)

Hedson Nattes scored in the 54th minute to give Martinique (1-1-1, 4 points) a 1-1 draw with first-place   El Salvador (2-1-0, 7 points).  It was the first game of the competition to produce neither a winner nor a loser.  Man of the Match Kevin Martinez netted the opener in the 30th minute, but Martinique battled back to earn a share of the points. 

 

at West Bay, Cayman Islands (Ed Bush Stadium)

St. Vincent & the Grenadines 0, Puerto Rico 6

GOALS:  John Henriquez 23’, 41’, 70’+2; Ryan Lopez 26’, 32’; Juan Camareno 62’

Man of the Match:  Ryan Lopez (Puerto Rico)

Puerto Rico (2-0-1, 6 points) defeated St. Vincent & the Grenadines (0-0-2, 0 points), 6-0, behind a three-goal performance by John Henriquez.  The result lifted the Blue Hurricane into second place, one point behind El Salvador.  Henriquez, Puerto Rico’s leading scorer in the competition with four goals, netted the opener in the 23rd minute and added two more after the interval (41’, 70’+2).  Man of the Match Ryan Lopez (26’, 32’) tallied twice in the first half to give the eventual winners a 3-0 lead before the break.
