Guyana and Dominica impress on Day 3 at CBU15 Championship

BRADENTON, Florida – It was a busy day for teams in Divisions 2 and 3, with 12 matches on the docket on Tuesday at the 2019 Concacaf Boys’ Under-15 Championship.
 

Division 2

Group E

Guyana enjoyed a big day on the scoresheet as five different players tallied goals in a 5-1 win over Bahamas, while in the group’s other match the Cayman Islands and Nicaragua played to a 0-0 draw.

 

Group F

Solid goalkeeping was on display as well in Group F, with Grenada and the Dominican Republic battling to a 0-0 draw, while Puerto Rico fended off a second half charge to narrowly edge Martinique 3-2 thanks to scores from Jose Vilela (1’), Jensen Cruz (5’) and Adrian Diaz (21’)

 

Group G

Saint Lucia earned its second straight win with a 2-0 final over French Guiana courtesy of goals from Keegan Caull (5’) and Shaquan Nelson (66’), while Belize also collected three points in a 3-0 victory over Saint Kitts and Nevis.

 

Group H

Bermuda continued their high-flying ways with a 4-2 victory against Aruba, the difference coming in the final 10 minutes on goals from Sincere Hall (61’) and Remy Coddington (67’). Also in Group H, Antigua and Barbuda earned its first win of the tournament in a 3-2 triumph against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.


 

Division 3

Group I 

It was a big day for Sint Maarten, who topped Anguilla 4-0, while Deyon Martijn scored a brace to power Bonaire past U.S. Virgin Islands 4-1.

 

Group J 

Julie Henry was the star of the day for Dominica with a brace to help down Turks and Caicos Islands 3-1, while Saint Martin and Montserrat played to an exciting 2-2 draw to round out the day’s action.
