MIAMI —Concacaf clubs will be in the spotlight this week as the Caribbean Cup and the W Champions Cup Group Stage kick off, the Central American Cup continue, and the Leagues Cup concludes.

Here’s what is on tap in the region this week:

Concacaf W Champions Cup

The first-ever W Concacaf Champions Cup kicked off last Thursday with the Preliminary Round. Vancouver Whitecaps FC won 1-nil against Alianza Women FC at the Estadio Cuscatlan in El Salvador. Emily Wong scored the first goal in the competition's history.

The group stage begins on Tuesday with Alajuelense hosting Frazsiers Whip. The Clásico Regio ends the week as Tigres UANL Femenil and CF Monterrey meet in one of Mexico’s top derbies.

Concacaf Central American Cup

The Road to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continues with the Concacaf Central American Cup. Twenty of the best teams from the region continue their journey to crown this year’s championship and determine six berths to the next CCC edition.

Real Estelí and Deportivo Saprissa begin this week’s action on Tuesday in a match featuring first place at stake in Group D. The matchweek closes on Thursday with Águila vs. Olimpia as both sides look to solidify their place among the top two in Group C to advance to the next round.

Concacaf Caribbean Cup

The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup begins on Tuesday with a Jamaican encounter as Mount Pleasant FA faces Cavalier FC. A Dominican rivalry highlights Wednesday as Cibao and Moca clash. Thursday will feature two matches between clubs from Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago as Ouanaminthe meets AC Port of Spain and Real Hope plays Police FC.

The Caribbean Cup will determine three spots in the 2025 CCC when its semifinalists and third-place winner are defined later this year.

Leagues Cup

The 2024 Leagues Cup, which started with all 47 clubs from MLS and Liga MX, enters the closing stretch. The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, followed by the final and third-place match on Sunday.

Columbus Crew and Philadelphia Union will meet on one side of the bracket, while Colorado Rapids and Los Angeles FC will meet in the other encounter. The two finalists will clinch an automatic berth to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, while the third will be defined on Sunday in the bronze medal game.
