MIAMI — Concacaf clubs and nations continue in action across several tournaments this week as the Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship crowns a new champion, the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics continue and the Concacaf Central American Cup kicks off.
Club soccer will also be in the spotlight in North America as the Leagues Cup enters its second week and features all 47 clubs from MLS and Liga MX. The tournament will decide three berths to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
The CFU Caribbean Shield will also crown its next champion this week. The two finalists will also advance to the Concacaf Caribbean Cup next month.
Voting is underway for the 2023/24 Player of the Year Awards as the nominees were revealed last week. The deadline to vote is Friday, August 2, 2024.
Paris 2024
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris continue with two Concacaf representatives in the men’s and women’s tournaments. All four teams enter the week with hopes of advancing to the knockout stage.
The Dominican Republic and United States men’s teams will look to seal their qualification to the knockout round on Tuesday. The U.S. women have sealed their ticket to the quarterfinals while Canada awaits to find out their fate.
Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship
The 2024 Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship enters its final stretch on the road Sunday’s final. The quarterfinals will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday with the winners moving on to Friday’s semifinals.
The United States continues its title defense against Guatemala, while Panama and Canada meet in the other encounter on Tuesday at the Estadio Leon in Leon, Guanajuato - the site of the final two stages of the tournament. Hosts Mexico face Costa Rica and Honduras meets Cuba in the last matches to be hosted in Irapuato.

Concacaf Central American Cup
The Road to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continues with the Concacaf Central American Cup. Twenty of the best teams from the region will start their journey to crown this year’s championship and determine six berths to the next CCC edition.

CFU Caribbean Shield
The Road to the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues with the CFU Caribbean Shield. Eight teams remain in the tournament with four advancing after Tuesday’s quarterfinals. The semifinals will take place on Friday. The Final and Third Place match will be contested on Sunday.
The two finalists will complete the field of 10 teams to the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.
Leagues Cup
The 2024 Leagues Cup kicked off featuring 47 teams from Canada, the United States and Mexico. The MLS and Liga MX clubs are in the group stage to determine a new champion and three places in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
