As part of Concacaf’s continued commitment to education and integrity, the Confederation hosted a dedicated Integrity Workshop, supported by partners from Genius Sports. The session bolstered the Confederation’s ongoing efforts to ensure the integrity of football within our region and globally, providing staff with further insights into the rapidly evolving world of sports betting — a space that presents both exciting opportunities and critical responsibilities for all football stakeholders.
As Concacaf continues to execute responsible commercial strategies in this space – to include licensing betting-related data and streaming rights as well as sportsbook sponsorships – maintaining strong integrity practices has remained paramount.
The workshop covered a range of topics, including betting trends in mature and emerging markets and a comparative look at betting practices around the world. Particular attention was given to the growth trajectory of the Concacaf region, where legal betting is steadily gaining traction.
Participants engaged in discussions around sports integrity, discussing common breaches r, potential risks and pitfalls , and the importance of maintaining organizational safeguards.
“This is a topic that touches every part of the business,” said Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “As we move forward with exciting advancements around our sports betting rights, it’s essential that we do so with a shared understanding of both the possibilities and the protections required.”
The workshop was not only a chance to align and stay updated on current best practices but also an opportunity for all participants to deepen their knowledge and prepare for the future of the betting industry within football and the broader sporting ecosystem.
As the betting landscape continues to shift, Concacaf remains committed to leading with transparency and fairness – always underpinned by ongoing education and integrity.
