Miami, FL – Concacaf today held its 28th Extraordinary Congress, with Council Members, Member Associations, and delegates joining virtually to review and discuss key governance matters.
The agenda of the Congress included reviewing and approving the Confederation’s financial statutory matters and analyzing and voting on the application submitted by the Greenlandic Football Association to become a new Concacaf Member Association.
Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani chaired the Congress, alongside Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio.
In his opening remarks, President Montagliani provided an update on the broad range of on- and off-the-field initiatives that have taken place across the region since the Ordinary Congress held earlier this year in St. Lucia. He also expressed appreciation for the unwavering commitment of Member Associations in advancing the sport and promoting the Confederation’s One Concacaf vision.
