MIAMI — The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup Final highlights This Week in Concacaf.
The 60th edition of Concacaf’s premier men’s club tournament will culminate with the crowning of a new champion. One day prior, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Play-In will be contested to decide which team from the region completes the field of 32 at the expanded tournament this summer.
This week will also see the start of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship, which will determine the four participating nations from the region in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.

2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship
The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship will kick off on Thursday at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Canada, Costa Rica, Guyana, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, and the United States are the remaining participants in the qualification process. The tournament will determine the champion of the region and the four participating nations from Concacaf in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.

2025 Concacaf Champions Cup Final
The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup concludes on Sunday with a single-leg Final at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Mexico.
Mexican club Cruz Azul is vying for a record-tying seventh trophy while Vancouver Whitecaps FC is striving to become the first Canadian side to win the competition.
The winner of the tournament will not only become the champion of the region but also collect a berth in the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Play-In
One spot awaits in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup for either Los Angeles FC or Club América when the two Concacaf sides meet in the Play-In match on Saturday at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Following the recent Court of Arbitration for Sport decisions, FIFA decided that the final club to be admitted to the tournament will be determined by a play-in match between LAFC, runners-up in the 2023 Concacaf Champions League, and Club América, the top-ranked team in the FIFA Club World Cup confederation ranking at the conclusion of the Concacaf Champions Cup staged in 2024, the final year of the qualifying period for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The winner will complete Group D in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to face the likes of Brazilian club Flamengo, Tunisian side Espérance de Tunis, and English giants Chelsea FC.
