CARSON, Calif. – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued as Panama earned a 5-2 victory over Guadeloupe in Group C on Monday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA.

The Panamanians took the lead in the 6’ when Christian Martínez capitalized on an early giveaway via a Jose Gutiérrez assist. 

Ismael Díaz extended the lead with a brace in four minutes, first with a hit from close range in the 13’ before striking off a half-volley in the 17’.

Eduardo Guerrero converted a penalty kick opportunity in the 22’ to place Panama up by four.

Jordan Leborgne took one back for Guadeloupe in the 29’, smashing a terrific curler from outside the box.

Florian David converted a penalty chance for Guadeloupe in the 71’ to cut the deficit even down to two.

Tomás Rodríguez would seal the victory in the 90’+2’ with an assist from Éric Davis.

Group C play will continue on Friday when Guadeloupe meets Jamaica in San Jose, California followed by a Central American clash between Panama and Guatemala in Austin, Texas.
