MIAMI – The 2025 CFU Club Shield continued on Monday with Academy Eagles and Moca FC sealing their place in the Semifinals as the winners of Groups A and B, respectively.
Group A
Academia Quintana 3, SV Real Rincon 0
Academia Quintana won 3-nil against SV Real Rincon in Group A at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Marc Nieves struck the opening goal in the 33’ before Heuyin Guardia put the game out of reach in the 83’ and 85’, earning his brace in the process.
Academy Eagles 5, Rovers SC 0
Academy Eagles earned a 5-nil win against Rovers SC to win Group A at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Anthony Stewart opened the scoring in the 14’. Junior Paul increased the lead with a hat-trick, striking in the 17’, 51’ and 85’. Kyle Belizaire wrote his name on the scoresheet in the 74’.
After taking three points from AS Capoise’s forfeit on Saturday, the victory put Academy Eagles on level terms with Academia Quintana, both with six points and the same +8 goal difference and eight goals scored, leaving it to the fair play rules to determine the winner.
Group B
Moca FC 1, Guyana Defence Force 0
Moca FC earned a 1-nil victory against Guyana Defence Force in Group B at Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago.
Yohan Parra struck the lone goal in the 14’ to decide first place in the group and send the Dominican Republic side to the Semifinals.
SV Britannia 2, St. Paul's United Strikers FC 0
SV Britannia won 2-nil against St. Paul's United Strikers FC in Group B at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Richard De Sousa opened the scoring in the 49’ with a strike from outside the box.
Reangelo Boekhoudt extended his tally to two by striking in the 78’ to score in consecutive matches.
AS Étoile de Matoury 2, Paradise FC International 4
Paradise FC International earned a 4-2 win against AS Étoile de Matoury in Group B at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Romaric Boutou scored in the 13’ to place Étoile de Matoury in the lead. Jules Habbo converted from the penalty spot in the 40’ to increase the lead.
The Grenadian side mounted the comeback in the second half with four unanswered goals, coming from Keston Williams in the 64’ and 73’, Joshua Isaac in the 80’ and Kevon Maitland in stoppage time.
