Every game of professional football, from the local leagues to the biggest stage of all -- the World Cup finals -- produces economic value, allowing communities to benefit from the excitement generated by the sport.

At CONCACAF’s landmark ‘Transformation Through Partnership’ summit, guests will hear analysis and opinions about the economic role of football in different societies.

Dr. Danny Jordaan, as CEO for the FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee South Africa 2010, was instrumental to bringing the tournament to Africa for the first time and will give real insight into the economic impact that tournament had on his country.

Yon de Luisa, director of the LOC for the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2011, will address how a youth tournament brought economic benefits to communities in our region, while Hassan Abdullah Al-Thawadi, Secretary General of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, will look ahead to hosting the game’s greatest event for the first time in the Middle East.

The various versions of the game also have a role to play in the global football economy and Joan Cusco, Vice President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, will address how the emerging sport of Beach Soccer is generating economic activity.
