OTTAWA – Canada named on Friday a 24-player roster for a training camp that starts on May 18 in Austria ahead of a pair of friendlies.

The mostly European-based squad is a mix of experience and youth.  Veterans such as Julian de Guzman and Atiba Hutchinson will be joined by up-and-coming youngsters like Bryce Alderson and Keven Aleman.

In its first two games of the year, Canada will face Bulgaria on May 23 in Ritzing, Austria, and will meet Moldova four days later in Mauer, Austria.

This will be the national team’s second camp of 2014.  In January, a selection composed mostly of younger players gathered in Sunrise, Florida.
