MIAMI, Florida – The October window of the Road to W Gold Cup came to a close on Tuesday, capping off another great week of action across all three leagues.

League A

League A was highlighted by the great goal-scoring performances from Haiti, who totaled 24 goals in their two Group C matches against Saint Kitts and Nevis. Rising attacking star Melchie Dumornay was once again a force, scoring eight goals in the two matches, while Nerilia Mondesir seemingly had a hand in every goal, registering four goals and eight assists.

It was also a very good window for Panama, who sit atop Group B with six points, two ahead of Guatemala after posting a 2-1 win versus Jamaica. Group A saw Mexico’s status at the top go unsurpassed, as Puerto Rico mustered a win and a draw against Trinidad and Tobago, leaving the Boricuas on four points, two behind Mexico going into the final window with El Tricolor set to play twice.

League B

League B saw its first team qualify for the Prelims, as El Salvador earned 1-0 and 5-0 wins versus Honduras to clinch the top spot in Group B.

In Group A, Guyana showed great character in picking up successive 1-0 victories over Suriname to catapult themselves into first place with nine points, three points ahead of Suriname.

Meanwhile, margins are razor-thin in Group C with Bermuda holding a one-point edge over Dominican Republic in the group, with Dominican Republic enjoying a six-point window and Bermuda being held to a win and a draw in their two matches with Barbados. Bermuda and Dominican Republic will meet on the final matchday in what could well decide the group winner.

League C

League C has seen Belize rise to the fore in Group A, as they earned back-to-back wins over Turks and Caicos Islands to bring themselves to a point away from promotion. Also of note in Group A was Bonaire earning their first ever senior women’s national team victory when they rallied for a 3-1 win against Aruba.

Cuba took a commanding hold atop Group B after posting back-to-back clean sheets win versus Guadeloupe, however, credit goes to Guadeloupe GK Anais Hatchi, who saved a penalty in both games.

Grenada topped US Virgin Islands 4-0 to potentially put themselves in a position for promotion on the final matchday against USVI in Group C, while in Group D Curacao got two wins from two matches to surge past Anguilla and hold a two-point edge.
