TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Despite being down 1-0, history will be on Olimpia’s side Thursday night, when it hosts against Alianza in the second leg of their Scotiabank CONCACAF League (SCL) quarterfinal.

The Honduran power is unbeaten in its last 29 home games in domestic league and CONCACAF competitions.

“We know the quality of the opponent, its play, their players, its coach,” Olimpia head coach Carlos Restrepo said Wednesday during a pre-match press conference. “But we are on our field and we hope to advance.”

Olimpia owns a superb all-time home record in CONCACAF Champions League and CONCACAF League play, going unbeaten in 18 of 21 games (14W-4D-3L).  A visitor last beat the Leones on August 27, 2013, as the USA’s Sporting Kansas City posted a 2-0 victory.

“We have confidence in our players and in their capacity to be able to come back and advance,” concluded Restrepo.
