MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continues with Tigres UANL hosting Forge FC in the Second Leg of their Round One series on Tuesday at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. 

The winner on aggregate will advance to the Round of 16. Away goals serve as the primary tiebreaker. If necessary, extra time and a penalty shootout will decide the winner. 

The two sides played to a scoreless draw in their first encounter. The result brought an end to a streak of six straight defeats in the tournament for Forge FC. It also marked the first clean sheet for the Canadian side in the competition, thanks to seven saves from goalkeeper Dimitry Bertaud

The first leg result was also the 34th scoreless draw away from home for a Liga MX team in the Champions Cup. Across those instances, Mexican clubs have advanced 28 times while being eliminated on six occasions. 

It was also just the fifth time in tournament history that Tigres played to a scoreless draw in the first leg of a two-legged series, and the first time it happened against Canadian opposition. The club has advanced on every such occasion, with the most recent being the 2025 Quarterfinals against the Los Angeles Galaxy. 

Post-Match Data 

Forge FC brought an end to a streak of six consecutive defeats in the tournament. For the first time in its history, the Canadian club avoided defeat, improving its all-time record to W-0 D-1 L-6, and also recorded its first clean sheet in the competition.

Forge FC became the third Canadian club to register a scoreless draw against a Liga MX side in the history of the tournament, following CF Montreal vs Atlante FC (Group C, 24-Sep-2008) and Toronto FC vs Cruz Azul (Group A, 21-Sep-2010).

For the fifth time in tournament history, Tigres UANL played to a scoreless draw in the first leg of a two-legged series, the first time against a Canadian club. Tigres advanced on every occasion.
