MIAMI – The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 continues as 2022 Concacaf Champions Cup winners Seattle Sounders FC host reigning UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in Group B on Monday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.

The match will mark the first meeting between an MLS side and a French club, and the fourth match overall between an MLS team and a European opponent in a FIFA Club World Cup.

The Seattle Sounders are set for the team’s third and final group stage match, in search of its first points after falling 3-1 against Atlético de Madrid. Albert Rusnák got on the scoresheet for the Sounders against the Spanish giants.

Les Parisiens enter the match after falling 1-nil against Botafogo in the team’s second group stage fixture. Prior to that, the French powerhouse earned a 4-nil win against Atlético de Madrid.

PSG are one of 12 European representatives competing at the Club World Cup and earned their spot in the tournament as the second-best ranked eligible team in the UEFA four-year ranking.

Led by Spanish manager Luis Enrique, PSG recently claimed the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League with several key players like captain Marquinhos, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, midfielder Vitinha and young attacking star Désiré Doué.
