ANTIGUA, Guatemala -- Costa Rican champion Saprissa topped Guatemala’s Antigua 2-0 on Sunday at the Estadio Pensativo to conclude its four-game preseason tour with three wins and one loss.

Daniel Colindres and Marvin Angulo struck for one goal each as the Monstruo Morado lifted the first-ever Copa Antigua.

After falling 2-1 to two-time defending Mexican champion Leon on June 28 in a battle of 2014/15 CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) qualifiers, Saprissa reeled off three straight victories

Before heading to Guatemala, the Central American defeated Liga MX’s Queretaro (3-0) and Liga Ascenso MX side Alebrijes de Oaxaca (2-0) on June 30 and July 2, respectively.

Saprissa returns to CCL play on August 6, when it travels to Nicaragua for a Group 2 encounter against Real Esteli.
