MIAMI, Florida – The Round of 16 of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup is in sight for Nashville SC, who welcome in Moca FC of the Dominican Republic for the second leg of their Round One series on Wednesday night at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
The first leg last week in the Dominican Republic saw Nashville SC walk out with a 3-0 victory thanks in large part to Hany Mukhtar and Sam Surridge, who each had a goal and an assist on the night.

However, injuries to both could prevent them from playing on Wednesday, meaning Nashville’s other attacking forces will need to step up.
Tyler Boyd, who scored the third goal of the night for Nashville, will be one to watch, while veteran Panamanian midfielder Anibal Godoy will bring order to the center of the park. Godoy was his usual superb self in completing 89 percent of his passes last week, while making three ball recoveries.
Moca FC will be aiming to become the first team from the Dominican Republic to win on U.S. soil in Champions Cup play, while also attempting to break a streak of eight Champions Cup matches without a victory for Dominican clubs.
Gustavo Ascona was one of the stars of the 2023 Concacaf Caribbean Cup with four goals and will be called upon to try to lead a comeback in this second leg, along with Juan Angeles, who took two shots in the first leg.
GK Pascual Ramirez, who played for Atletico Pantoja in the 2019 Champions Cup against the New York Red Bulls, will also be tasked with trying to keep a clean sheet. Ramirez had a save and two clearances in the first leg.
