SAN NICOLAS DE LOS GARZA, Mexico – Liga MX side Tigres announced Monday the signing of El Salvador international Alexander Larin to a three-year contract and then sent him on a six-month loan to Costa Rica’s Herediano.
The 21-year-old left-sided defender/midfielder played most recently for Salvadoran side FAS, scoring 16 goals in 38 games during the 2013 Apertura and 2014 Clausura seasons.
Larin has earned nine caps for his country, including two earlier this month against Ivory Coast and Spain.
FAS will participate in the 2014/15 CONCACAF Champions League, where it will face the New York Red Bulls and Montreal Impact in Group 3 play.
