White took to a few questions from Concacaf.com ahead of the final. Answers have been edited for clarity.

Can you describe how it feels to be in the Concacaf Champions Cup final?

It's exciting to be in the Concacaf Champions Cup Final. It's a big tournament. It's a big opportunity for us to win an important trophy for this club, for this city, and we're looking forward to that opportunity.

Coming into the tournament, did you feel you would be one of the protagonists for the Golden Boot race?

To be honest, it's not something I really thought of. I was just hoping that I could come into games and help the team win, and fortunately, I've been able to get on the receiving end of some good play from the team and put the ball in the back of the net. Hopefully, I can add a couple in the final and help us win.

What has been your favorite moment in the tournament so far?

The tying goal down in Pumas was a surreal moment. It was so dramatic. It was so exciting. I think it meant a lot to us, and we really enjoyed that moment.

After the defeat at Deportivo Saprissa in the opening match, what did the team do to rebound and go unbeaten in the next seven matches?

The first game in Costa Rica was difficult. It was the first game of our regular season. We were confident in the way that we played. We knew that we had some good moments, and we were confident, going to BC Place, if we continued to play that way, we would come out with the victory, and that's what we did.

Do you feel the Champions Cup has provided a platform for future U.S. call-ups with the Gold Cup and World Cup looming?

As an individual, it's a great opportunity to show the level you can play at. Not only in MLS games, but against high-level competition and tough environments. So, it's been a great platform, not only for me, but everybody else on the team, to kind of show the level that we can play at and hopefully represent ourselves and the club well.

What would it mean for Vancouver Whitecaps FC to be the first Canadian club to win the competition?

It would mean a lot for us to win the competition. The first Canadian Club, but also one of the only MLS teams to win this. It's an exciting opportunity for us, and hopefully we can get the result.
