MIAMI, Florida – Three matches were completed on Thursday in the group stage of the 2023 Leagues Cup, including an impressive 4-0 triumph for seven-time Concacaf Champions Cup winners Club America over Saint Louis City SC in Central Group 1 at CityPark in St. Louis, Missouri.

Among the players finding the back of the net were Mexican National Team FW Henry Martin, new arrival Julian Quinones, Kevin Alvarez and United States National Team FW Alejandro Zendejas. With the result, both Club America and Columbus Crew have secured berths in the Round of 32.

There were plenty of goals in the night’s other matches, one of which was the Chicago Fire twice rallying in the second half to defeat Minnesota United 3-2 in Central Group 2 at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Down 1-0 and then 2-1, Chicago stormed back and took the three points on an 82nd minute goal from Kei Kamara.

There were also plenty of fireworks at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee where Liga MX side Toluca outlasted Nashville SC 4-3 in Central Group 4.

Marcel Ruiz scored a pair of goals, while Robert Morales tallied the winning score for the 1968 and 2003 Concacaf Champions Cup winners.

The fourth match of the night between FC Cincinnati and Chivas was suspended in the second half due to weather and will be completed Friday afternoon with FC Cincinnati holding onto a 2-0 lead in the second half.
