MIAMI — The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals saw the Columbus Crew advance to its first tournament final. Aidan Morris was a Game-Changer for the MLS champions in its series against five-time CCC winners CF Monterrey.

The Columbus Crew defeated the CF Monterrey 5-2 on aggregate, becoming the first MLS side to win both legs of a semifinal series against a Liga MX club.

The 22-year-old midfielder, playing in his third Concacaf Champions Cup, contributed on offense and defense with one goal and ten steals across 173 minutes.

Morris delivered the series-winning goal in the 45'+4 of the second leg. After intercepting the ball from goalkeeper Esteban Andrada, Morris dribbled through the middle of the field and shot from inside the penalty arc to retake momentum in the series.

The Crew went on to score two more goals in the closing match to secure its first trip to a Champions Cup Final. Morris was named Player of the Match and a Best XI selection for his play in the semifinals.
