Andre-Pierre Gignac struck again for Tigres , while a late Franco Jara goal delivered Pachuca all three points against Veracruz.  CONCACAF.com takes a look at the weekend action involving the 2016/17 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinalists.

Tigres 1, Morelia 1

Andre-Pierre Gignac scored in a second straight 2017 Liga MX Clausura match to help Tigres (2W-2D-4L) earn a 1-1 draw against visiting Morelia on Saturday.  In the 71st minute, the France international striker Gignac fought off two defenders to head Damain Alvarez’s left-sided into the back of the net from five-yards out.  Raul Ruidiaz converted from the penalty spot in the 31st minute to give Morelia a 1-0 lead.

Queretaro 4, Pumas 3

The good news for Pumas (3W-2D-3L) is that it had another three-goal match in Liga MX play; the bad news is that the Mexico City side-conceded four to fall 4-3 at Queretaro on Saturday.  UNAM is now winless in their last four Clausura outings.  Matias Britos gave visitor a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, but the host responded by netting four unanswered goals to take a 4-1 lead with 17 minutes remaining in normal time.  Pumas’ stormed back on goals by goals by Jesus Gallardo (85’) and Bryan Rabello (90’+3), but the rally fell short.

Pachuca 1, Veracruz 0

Pachuca remained unbeaten at home (3W-1D-0L) and improved to 4W-1D-2L in 2017 Liga MX Clausura play thanks to a 1-0 win over visiting Veracruz on Saturday.  Franco Jara struck for the game-winning goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.  Brian Rodriguez slipped pass into the penalty area that goalkeeper Edgar Hernandez failed to gather, allowing the hustling Jara to gain control and finish from close range.

Saprissa 2, San Carlos 1

Saprissa (6W-4D-3L) topped visiting San Carlos on Saturday, 2-1, for its second consecutive 2017 Costa Rican Verano victory.  The Monstruo Morado opened the scoring in the 12th minute, when Daniel Colindres served up a perfect free kick for Ulises Segura to head into net. Ten minutes from time, the duo switched roles as Segura turned into the playmaker, assisting for Colindres.

Arabe Unido (2W-1D-4L) had the weekend off from 2017 Panamanian Clausura play
