TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Motagua and Honduras Progreso earned second-leg draws to advance to the final of the 2017 Honduran Clausura.

Honduras Progreso advances to final (agg: 6-4)
- Honduras Progreso battled to a 2-2 draw against host Olimpia at the Estadio Tiburcio Carias Andino and advanced to the 2017 Clausura final, 6-4 on aggregate.
- Michael Chirinos shot from close-range in the 16th minute to give Olimpia a 1-0 lead, but Jerrel Britto leveled with a right-footer in the 45th minute.
- Ever Alvarado restored Olimpia’s lead in the 65th via a successfully converted penalty kick, only for Pedro Mencia to equalize with seven minutes remaining by finding the back of the net off a rebound of a shot that hit the post.
- Honduras Progreso is unbeaten in 12 of its last 14 matches (9W-3D-2L).

Motagua advances to final (agg: 4-3)
- A 2-2 draw against visiting Real España at the Estadio Tiburcio Carias Andino was enough for Motagua to advances to the 2017 Clausura final, 4-3 on aggregate.
- Claudio Nicolas Labariñas Cardozo’s left footer gave Real España a 17th-minute lead that held until the 80th minute, when Reinieri Mayorquin’s right-footed shot from outside the area levelled the score.
- The drama took another turn with Angel Tejeda’s 86th-minute header for Real España, but Omar Elvir became the hero for Motagua, slipping in a left-footed shot with two minutes remaining in normal time.
- Motagua is unbeaten in its last 12 matches (7W-5D-0L).
- Motagua is aiming to repeat as Honduran champion. It defeated Platense in the 2016 Apertura final (agg: 2-1).
