WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Arabe Unido will head into Tuesday’s Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League encounter at D.C. United with an extra spring in its step on the heels of a record-setting performance.
On Friday, the Expreso Azul earned a 2-0 victory Alianza thanks to goals by Enrico Small (13’) and Josimar Gomez (44’). In the process, the Apertura-topping side avoided defeat for the ninth consecutive time, breaking the mark it shared with Chorrillo FC for the most consecutive games to start a Panamanian league season without a loss. The result also extended Arabe’s overall unbeaten run in domestic play to 16 matches.
