GUATEMALA CITY – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with CSD Xelajú MC and CF Monterrey playing out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Round One series on Wednesday at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Monterrey had the clearest opportunity of the first half in the 7’, when Joaquín Moxica rattled the crossbar with a powerful header inside the box.

Jesús Corona equalized for Rayados in the 90’+2’ with a spectacular right-footed hit from outside the box.
Monterrey will host the second leg the series on February 11 at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico. The winner on aggregate will advance to the Round of 16.
